CiteAgentic documentation

CiteAgentic finds the buyer questions you lose in AI answers, tells you why you lose them, and drafts the content that wins them back. These guides cover how to run it, connect it, and build on it.

What does CiteAgentic's documentation cover?

There are four areas: features, integrations, API and MCP, and account settings.

  • Features — what each screen is for, and the difference between AI visibility and your audit score.
  • Integrations — connect your CMS so approved drafts publish themselves, connect Search Console and Analytics, and let our scanner reach your site.
  • API and MCP — programmatic access. A REST API for reporting, and an MCP server so Claude, Cursor and other AI clients can work with your data directly.
  • Account and settings — plan and billing, team roles, notifications, credits, and the five per-site settings tabs.

Where should I start after signing up?

Do three things, in this order: confirm the scan reached your site, connect where you publish, then connect Search Console and Analytics.

  1. Check your scan reached the site. If pages came back unfetchable, a firewall is blocking us — allowlist the scanner. Everything downstream depends on this.
  2. Connect where you publish. A recommendation you cannot act on is a to-do list. Pick your channel and approved drafts go straight into your CMS.
  3. Connect Search Console and Analytics. They are what turn "you are not cited" into "here is the traffic it costs you."

How do I read these docs as Markdown?

Every page here is available as clean Markdown for AI tools: append ?md to any URL, or send Accept: text/markdown. There is a machine-readable index of the whole site at llms.txt, of the documentation at /docs/llms.txt, and of each area — for example /docs/integrations/llms.txt.

For the REST API there is also an OpenAPI 3.1 spec at /openapi.json, readable without a key.

We do this for the same reason we recommend it to customers: content an AI assistant can read cleanly is content it can cite.
