About

We're building the visibility layer for the AI search era.

Buyers ask AI before they Google. CiteAgentic tracks how AI engines answer about your brand, ships the fixes that change the answer, and re-scans to prove it moved.

What is CiteAgentic?

CiteAgentic is an answer engine optimization (AEO) platform that tracks, fixes, and proves a brand's visibility across AI search engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Claude, Grok, and Copilot. It audits why competitors get cited instead of you, writes paste-ready AI fix prompts, drafts the missing content, and re-scans to prove the visibility moved.

Why we exist

SEO was about being ranked. AI search is about being cited.

01The shift

Ten blue links became one generated answer. Two or three brands get named; everyone else is invisible. Your buyers already ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI before they ever see a ranking.

02Our answer

The tools tracking this shift stop at "here's what's broken." CiteAgentic closes the loop: it finds why competitors win, prioritizes what to fix, and uses AI agents to draft the work your team approves.

03How we work

Measure every engine, diagnose the gap, ship the fix, earn the off-site proof AI trusts, then re-scan the same questions to prove the change. Measured, never assumed.

Our story

We built a marketplace in 2020. Search is what beat it.

Nextask was a marketplace for local services. We launched it in 2020, straight into the lockdowns, and for a long time we told ourselves the lockdowns were the problem.

They weren't. What actually beat us was search. Airtasker and hipages already sat on top of every query a customer typed, and they had the budget to stay there: the expensive tools, the engineers, the fast infrastructure, the content team publishing every week. We were a small business chasing the same customers with none of that. Ranking wasn't a contest of who did the better work for people. It was a contest of who could spend more, and the small operators quietly disappeared.

SEO was the big end of town's favourite sport, because they were the only ones who could afford to play it.

"We lost a business to a search engine. This one exists so the next small team doesn't have to."

Kapil Arora, Co-Founder

AI search is a real reset. When someone asks an assistant which builder to use, or what a job should cost, the engine isn't counting backlinks or rewarding whoever shipped the fastest page. It's looking for the clearest, best evidenced answer, and it will cite a ten person business over a household name if that business is the one that actually explained the thing.

That's the opening we built CiteAgentic for. Smaller businesses usually have the better raw material: the real project numbers, the customers who will vouch for them, the research nobody else has bothered to do, the community that already trusts them. What they don't have is a team to turn any of it into pages an engine can read, or the hours to do it again next week.

So we didn't stop at tracking. Tracking tells you that you're losing, which we already knew in 2020. CiteAgentic finds the questions your buyers actually ask, works out why a competitor gets named instead of you, drafts the page in your own voice from facts you supply, and publishes it straight to your site. You approve the work. The platform does the lifting.

We're not trying to help anyone outspend anyone. We're trying to make sure the size of a marketing budget stops being the reason a good answer never gets heard.

What we believe

Honest numbers only

AI answers are probabilistic. We never promise "the next scan will show you cited". We show real counts, measure before and after, and report exactly what changed.

Execution over advisory

A dashboard that stops at "here's what's broken" leaves the expensive work with you. Every diagnosis here arrives with the draft, the prompt or the outreach ready to review.

Move at AI speed

Engines refresh weekly and competitors publish daily. We ship fast, re-test constantly, and adapt the playbook as the engines change, because last quarter's tactics already expired.

Frequently asked questions

What is answer engine optimization (AEO)?
Answer engine optimization (AEO) is the practice of structuring your content, entity signals, and off-site authority so AI answer engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews can identify your brand as a dependable source and cite it in their answers. It is search-first in its foundations and answer-first in its formatting.
What is generative engine optimization (GEO)?
Generative engine optimization (GEO) is closely related to AEO. It focuses on earning mentions and citations inside the responses generative AI models produce. CiteAgentic treats AEO and GEO as one loop: measure where AI names you, fix the gaps, build the off-site proof, and re-scan to confirm the change.
Who is CiteAgentic for?
CiteAgentic is for founders, marketers, and agencies who need buyers to find them when the buyer asks an AI assistant instead of Googling. From solo builders tracking one brand to agencies managing many, anyone who wants to know and improve how AI engines answer about their brand can use it.
Why was CiteAgentic started?
The founders previously ran Nextask, a local services marketplace launched in 2020. It was beaten less by the COVID lockdowns than by search: Airtasker and hipages had the budget for the tools, engineers and weekly content that kept them at the top of every query, and smaller operators could not compete on spend. AI search changes that, because answer engines reward the clearest, best evidenced answer rather than the biggest budget. CiteAgentic exists so a business of any size can turn its own numbers, customers and research into answers AI engines cite, without needing a content team to do it.
Who is behind CiteAgentic?
CiteAgentic was co-founded by Kapil Arora and Bec Wade. Kapil brings 21+ years of digital transformation and AI automation experience with organisations including Breville, Qantas, Woolworths, Telstra, Vodafone and JB Hi-Fi; Bec leads customers and delivery. The company is founder-led by design: customers talk directly to the people building the product.
